Checking the File System Block Size
The stat commandcan be used
to check the file system blocksize. stat can be used on a file
system's mount point or any file or directory within that file
system.
#
stat -f /u01
File: "/u01"
ID: 0 Namelen: 255 Type:
ext2/ext3
Blocksize: 4096 Fundamental blocksize: 4096
Blocks: Total: 1032112 Free: 126782 Available: 74354
Inodes: Total: 524288 Free: 481602
Both blocksize and fundamental blocksize should be equal in this
output, but for accuracy, blocksize should be used. Like the inode
count, blocksize cannot be changed after a file system is created.
