Hardware Supported by Linux OS
Oracle gives support on x86, x86-64, and
ia64 architecture-based hardware running Linux. All hardware
platforms that are certified by Red Hat for RHEL3, RHEL4 and
RHEL5 for x86, x86-64, ia64 (starts with Release 4 Update 6)
architectures are supported by Oracle.
Oracle certifies the following Linux
distributions as Oracle RDBMS 10g-supported.
For the Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 10g on
Linux, there is the following support matrix:

Oracle supports the Asianux-based
distribution from Miracle Linux release 4.0 and higher (www.miraclelinux.com)
and Red Flag DC server 5.0 and higher releases.

266043.1 with the subject Support of Linux and Oracle
Products on Linux.
Oracle does not certify hardware, but
only OS platforms or drivers that the OS vendor supports, as
announced previously. However, some details can be found on
the hardware configurations that are certified or compatible
with Enterprise Linux by consulting the website
http://linux.oracle.com/hardware.
On the same site there is also information about the Support
of Oracle Virtual Machine and all hardware systems
considered certified or compatible by Red Hat Incorporated.
