Question: I am
running an export (expdp) task and I am getting what appears
to be an OS permission error. This is my parfile:
expdp backup_admin/password
DIRECTORY=EXPDP_DMP_DIR
DUMPFILE=EXPDP_DMP_DIR:DUMP_FILE_NAME_P%U.DMP
LOGFILE=EXPDP_DMP_DIR:LOG_FILE_NAME.LOG
SCHEMAS=myschemaname
Gave me this ORA-39070 and ORA-39145 error:
ORA-39002: invalid operation
ORA-39070: Unable to open the log file.
ORA-39145: directory object parameter must be specified and non-null
How do I fix this expdp ORA-39070 and ORA-39145 error?
Answer: First thing, you have to
check if you have created a directory object and granted
read/write access to the object:
create directory expdp_dump_dir as '/u01/app/oracle/directory';
grant read,write on directory expdp_dump_dir to backup_admin;
grant datapump_exp_full_database to backup_admin;
grant datapump_imp_full_database to backup_admin;
You also need to go to the OS directory
(/u01/app/oracle/directory) and make sure that the directory
inode has permissions of 660.
