Question
I want to know when a table structure was last
changed (column added or deleted). What are the ways
to tell when a data dictionary object was created or
modified?
Answer.
There are two ways to tell of a Oracle dictionary object has
been changed:
1 - Oracle DDL auditing:
Auditing DDL changes with triggers
2 - The last_ddl column within the
dba_tables view
Either of these methods will show you the most recent DBA
change to a table/index or other dictionary object.
