Question: I ma hung up in Oracle
Enterprise Manager (OEM) and I want to deinstall and re-install the
OEM repository and id needed uninstall all of OEM. What is the
procedure for uninstalling OEM and removing the Enterprise Manager
software from my client and remove the OEM registry entries?
Answer: Oracle has several packages for
uninstalling the re-creating the OEM repository. You can
deinstall the OEM DB control repository by running the script
$ORACLE_HOME/sysman/admin/emdrep/bin/RepManager to remove
the Database Control Repository.
You can re-create the OEM repository with these emctl
commands:
emctl stop dbconsole
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
emca -repos recreate
Uninstalling OEM Completely
The
Oracle Deinstalling Enterprise Manager Grid Control Document
give us this list for uninstalling all of OEM in UNIX, Linux and
Windows platforms:
1. Shut down all opmn processes that are running
by running the following command:
<OMS_HOME>/opmn/bin/opmn
stopall
2.Shut down the Management Agent in the Agent Oracle
home using the emctl stop agent command.
3.Stop Grid Control
by running the following command:
<OMS_HOME>/bin/emctl stop
em
4.Shut down the repository database (if the database
software is installed as a part of the Management Service Oracle
home being uninstalled).
5.Shut down the Oracle Database
listener.
6.Run the Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA)
to delete the database before proceeding to deinstall the Oracle
home.
7.Run the OUI and select the Oracle home to deinstall.
It is removed from the Central Inventory. When you invoke OUI, pass
the -removeallfiles parameter.
For UNIX platforms:
./runInstaller
-removeallfiles
For Microsoft Windows platforms:
setup.exe -removeallfiles
