This is an
excerpt from the book
Oracle Application Change Management Pack ACMP Handbook by
Kumar Viswanathan.
As discussed earlier, the
V76271-01.zip
which was downloaded is to be unzipped
in the directory. Normally, create a directory called as
plugins in the Oracle 12c Enterprise Manger Cloud Control.
Once the zip file is downloaded
uncompress the file using the unzip command.
unzip
V76271-01.zip
After unzipping the file the folder
software gets
created which has all the installation files related to the
Application Management Suite install.
EMCLI Setup to install Plugins
The next step is to setup emcli to
install and deploy plugins. Set the path for the
EMCLI_STATE_DIR variable as shown in the figure 4-3.
Figure 4-3 A screen showing
setting up of the varible EMCLI_STATE_DIR
Now, run the below command to
complete the setup of
emcli as shown
in the figure 4-4.
Figure 4-4: A screen showing the
run of the emcli setup
The command to be run
is abbreviated as below:
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/oms/bin/emcli
setup –dir= $EMCLI_STATE_DIR
-url=https://hostname.domainname:port_number
–user=sysman
When the command is
run, it asks for the password of sysman user, then it goes
forward. A stage comes were it creates the certificate and
wants it trusted as shown in the figure 4-5.
Figure 4-5:
A screen during
the emcli setup showing the certification creation and
asking input to trust the certificate
Type yes, so that the
certificate is created and the
emcli
setup moves forward and gets completed as shown in
the figure 4-6.
Figure 4-6: A screen showing the
completion of the emcli setup
The
emcli setup
normally takes 5-10 minutes to get completed.
Importing the Plugin
Once the emcli setup for plugins is
completed, the next step is to import the plugin in Oracle
12c Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. The file which is to
be imported would be
12.1.0.4.0_oracle.apps.ebs_2000_0.opar (as per the
Oracle 12c Enterprise Manager Cloud Control version
installed) and will be found under the path where the file
V76271-01.zip is
unzipped the path would be something as below:
~/software/EBS-PlugIn/12.1.0.4.0/12.1.0.4.0_oracle.apps.ebs_2000_0.opar
The figure 4-7 shows how to import
plugin using emcli
command:
