Question: What is
the 12c view v$lgwrio_outlier used to monitor logical I/O?
Answer: The v$lgwrio_outlier view
shows if you have log writer issues during periods of high
DML activity:
select
function_name,
io_size,
file_name,
io_latency
from
v$lgwrio_outlier;
You can sometimes see this warning message in the alert
log when the log writer is experiencing disk contention:
Warning:
log write time 310ms, size 524KB
