causes the PLS-00382 error?
PLS-00382: expression is of wrong
type
Answer: The oerr utility indicates
that this is a simple syntax error:
PLS-00382:
expression is of wrong type
Cause:
An expression has the wrong datatype for the context in
which it was found.
Action: Change
the datatype of the expression. You might want to use
datatype conversion functions.
The PLS-00382 occurs in an assignment statement when you
mix datatypes, like assigning a timestamp value to a date
datatype, or specifying a varchar2 for a number datatype.
