Question: I am running auditing with the command "ALL STATEMENTS BY ACCESS", yet I am getting blank/empty values for SQLTEXT when I try to query it in AUD$. How to I get the SQLTEXT column to display.

Answer: The SQLTEXT and SQLBIND clob columns are populated only if you set the parameter AUDIT_TRAIL=DB_EXTENDED. If you set AUDIT_TRAIL=DB, you will NOT get any values for SQLTEXT in the AUD$ table.

You should definitely monitor aud$ table growth if you decide to turn on this level of auditing because it will grow very quickly!
