Establish
a Company Hotline
Many impending acts of violencein the
workplace can be alerted proactively to company representatives by
utilizing a company hotline. Tips may be called in by other employees,
family or friends of the terminated employee to notify the employer of
potential violence or other undesirable acts.
These proactive alerts can assist the employer in
taking precautionary and evasive measures in the interest of all
employees. If a tip comes in expressing a concern for possible
violence, then various parties should be notified promptly
including the IT manager, company security, and law
enforcement authorities.
