Question: I want to figure
out which tables are currently enable for Oracle flashback. Is there
a query that can tell me the flashback status of each tablespace in
my database?
Answer: Querying the flashback status of
your tablespaces can be accomplished using the v$tablespace
view. The following query will return the flashback status for
each tablespace:
select
flashback_on
from
v$tablespace
In the following example, the flashback_on column is a
binary Y/N status flag that indicates whether flashback is enabled
for the target tablespace:
select
flashback_on
from
dba_tablespaces;
The following query shows the Oracle flashback status:
select
flashback_archive_name,
status
from
dba_flashback_archive;
The dba_flashback_archive describes all flashback
archives in the database and the status column of
dba_flashback_archive indicates whether the flashback archive
is a default archive for the database.
