Oracle10g Grid Computing
with RAC
Chapter 9 -Managing and Using
Oracle Grid Control
Managing Target Groups
All the above screen shots collectively are
showing various possibilities with which the total Grid Environment
is managed and monitored. There is quite a bit of flexibility in
customizing the way in which we can monitor, analyze and compare.
Creating RAC Related Jobs Using
Grid Control
Another valuable capability of the Grid Control
system is the ability to specify Jobs to be run against databases,
servers, or groups of related resources known as services. Figure
9.23 shows an example Job Specification screen from Grid Control.
Figure 9.23 Job Activity Page
Notice on this screen we have specified that we wish to create a SQL
Script job; the types of jobs we are able to create include shell
script, OS command, Backup Recovery and several others. The Job is
created using the Job Specification screens, the first of which,
Target Selection, is shown in Figure 9.24.
Figure 9.24: Target Selection Screen
Once your targets are selected, you move on to
the Create Script Job Screen to actually specify the SQL Script for
this example. Figure 9.25 shows the Create Job Script screen.
