Managing Target Groups
For demonstration purposes, let us create a
group called MYDBGROUP with three NY development databases where
there is a mix of stand-alone and RAC databases. Then we will define
some sample metrics for the monitoring purpose as shown in the next
screen (Figure 9.20). There are seven metrics defined as shown
below:

From the Home page of the group “MYDBGROUP”,
click the tab “performance” to display the activity of the metrics
collected. Metrics information is shown in the next screen (Figure
9.21).

In another example, for the target group
called Dev. Service where there are five instances and wait time is
shown for all of them in a single display. This helps to have a
quick comparison of the activities of all the instances within a
group of targets.

single display.
