Let us select the Wait by Session Metrics group
(which is in fact at the bottom of the Metrics Screen. Now you are
presented with the next screen:

When you click on Average Instance CPU (%), you
would see a graphical representation of the CPU activity as shown in
Fig 9.12

Another Interesting Metrics to study is the
“throughput”. It has many items to display and some of them are
shown in Figure 9.13:

Let us pick the item ‘redo generated (per
second)’ as an example. The next screen shows the redo-generation
rate for last 24 hours period (as shown in Figure 9.14).

In another example, let us check if the
instance is doing heavy check pointing; check out the next screen,
which shows the DB writer activity (Fig 9.15):
