Windows
In case of Windows based RAC database systems,
both the Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 are supported. Windows 2003
refers to enterprise, data center and standard edition. Windows 2000
refers to Advanced Server and Datacenter Edition. Clusterware is
supplied by Oracle.

On UNIX
Oracle 10g RAC is available for all the widely
used Unix Flavors as shown the Fig. 6.3. Variety of Clusterware is
supported for building RAC Clusters. In addition to Oracle provided
CRS, vendor provided Clusterware can be used.
In the case of Solaris platform, RAC database
system can be built with one of these clusterware: Sun Cluster
software, Fujitsu-Siemens Prime Cluster software, Veritas DB
Edition/Advance Cluster (DBE/AC) and Oracle provided clusterware.
