ORA-12155 Internal TNS Error Tips

Question:  I am getting this ORA-12155 error:  

ORA-12155: TNS:received bad datatype in NSWMARKER packet  

How do I fix the ORA-12155 error?

Answer:  Your problem could be related to using an incorrect JDBC driver. Also see MOSC note 433190.1 for details on this ORA-12155 error.  The oerr utility shows that the ORA-12155 error is an internal error:

ORA-12155: TNS:received bad datatype in NSWMARKER packet  

Cause: Internal error during break handling.  

Action: Not normally visible to the user. For further details, turn on tracing and reexecute the operation. If error persists, contact Worldwide Customer Support.
