Question: I need to exclude several
tables with specific prefixes, all the tables where names do
not starts with 'A_' or 'B_' or 'C_'. I tried this:
EXCLUDE=TABLE:"NOT LIKE 'A!_%'
ESCAPE '!' and NOT LIKE 'B!_%' ESCAPE '!' and NOT LIKE
'C!_%' ESCAPE '!'"
I have these errors:
ORA-39001:
invalid argument value
ORA-39071: Value for EXCLUDE is badly
formed.
ORA-00936: missing expression
ORA-06512: at "SYS.KUPM$MCP", line 3174
How do I get the "like" and "not like" filters to work with
a data pump import?
Answer: You can use a filtering expression
with a data pump import:
EXCLUDE=OBJECT_TYPE[:NAME_FILTER_EXPRESSION]
[, ...]Database object types as a whole or by object
name filter to specifically exclude from the import
Below is the syntax for excluding a single, named table
in impdp:
impdp system/manager
exclude=table:"='EXC_TAB'"
The question is how to use the object name
filter.
This syntax should allow you to combine
multiple filtering conditions together in impdp data pump:
impdp . . .
exclude=TABLE:\"NOT LIKE 'A_%'\" OR \"NOT LIKE 'B_%'\"
