Becoming an IT consultant
Oracle Tips by Burleson Consulting |
Question: I cannot
find a full-time job so I'm considering going into computer
consulting. I took a computer class in high school and I
have achieved my MSCE certificate, but even though I'm now an
real engineer, I've not found anyone who will hire me and I
currently work as a retail clerk. How can I become an
Oracle consultant quickly? It is urgent because I have a
job interview next week.
Answer: You may be
misunderstand the nature of computer consulting. Computer
consultants are "real-deal" experienced veterans who possess a
vast knowledge of technical details. But most of all, a
computer consultant is a trusted advisor, a teacher who can
explain complex concepts in plain English.
