Oracle ContentDB tips

The Oracle ContentDB utility is a new tool that is very similar to the Oracle collaboration suite product, intended for managing and controlling flat-file documents and spreadsheets.

 

Oracle ContentDB is part of the Oracle Content Suite, a family of tool designed to replace file servers with a standardized location for ancillary documentation.  Oracle notes:

"Oracle Content DB 10.2 provides a comprehensive API that enables developers to integrate content management into existing applications or to build specialized, content enabled applications on the Content DB platform."

Operating very much like an FTP client, the Oracle ContentDB utility provides an easy drag-and-drop facility, handy for managing system documentation and project plans.
