for GIS and electric Intel databases. Provided 7 X 24 support with 99.8%
uptime for storm outage databases. Planned and implemented upgrade to
Oracle 9i and 8i from 8i and 7.3.4. Responsible for 57 Oracle and SQL
Server databases on 11 servers. Created databases to take advantage of 3
Gigabyte tuning and AWE, locally managed system tablespaces, automatic

Oracle 8i Database Administration on PeopleSoft 7.5 Payroll project
interfacing with DB2 PeopleSoft HR system for a firm with over thirty
thousand employees. Performed database administration in the three
environments of SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle throughout the mission-critical
payroll project. Experience with RMAN, OEM, ksh scripts, crontab, nightly
exports, tnsnames, and security. Tuning efforts reduced key payroll jobs
from two hours to 20 minutes.
Performed PeopleSoft project migrations, security migrations, and reference
data migrations using Data Mover. Responsible for building, configuring,
and running application servers and process schedulers. Wrote and
maintained a Fast Security project using PeopleCode, SQL, and PeopleSoft
records and views which reduced response time on Job and Personnel searches
from 3 minutes to 10 seconds.

Database Specialist, 1988 - 1995
DBA project lead for installation and implementation of San Diego County’s
first major ADABAS application, processing property tax information for
three County departments. Performed role of database administrator for
seamless ADABAS implementation of payroll system servicing 16,000 employees.
Led the DBA team for installation of DB2 and implementation of major
transaction processing application controlling over 180 million dollars
annually for the department of Revenue and Recovery. Responsible for
creating standards, policies, and procedures. Led code walk-throughs for
program and SQL review. Directed test cycles, analyzed stress test results,
and made tuning recommendations.
Lead DBA on VAX based Juvenile Court System for California’s second largest
county. Participated in machine, clustering, DASD, and VMS upgrades.

Performed business analysis of office procedures, recommending, installing,

effort between 14 companies in five countries while supervising programmers
in three countries. Purchased, installed, and tested software and hardware
for the PC-based distributed DBMS. Performed data classification, system
design and system analysis, including extensive security analysis,

determination.
