Larry Ellison, the genius who built Oracle Corporation into the world’s most robust database, has honored the United States by winning back the coveted America’s Cup!
An avid sailor and pilot, it’s said that Ellison spent upwards of a billion dollars on his sailing ship, a specially designed three hulled “trimaran”, a regular sailboat with catamaran extensions:
The America’s Cup,
the oldest trophy in international sports, will reside at San
Francisco's Golden Gate Yacht Club.
Ellison also owns the
Rising Sun, one of the world’s largest billionaire’s yacht,
which is frequently docked at Charlotte Amalie in the U. S. Virgin
Islands.
Like other
celebrities and billionaires, Larry Ellison also
owns his own F5 fighter jet.
