Biometrics passports leading the way

More and more Oracle shops are using biometrics for positive identification of people, the ultimate primary key.  Some forward-thinking countries such as the UK and Singapore have passports are already biometric:

In the United Kingdom, for example, the cost of passports was reported to have increased by 18 percent after the country made the switch to biometrics. . .

Singapore, along with Australia, New Zealand and the United States, has been involved in an International Live Test since January.

We see that the technology allows biometrics to be embedded into the passport, making for easy, positive identification:

Each e-passport contains a polycarbonate page that is embedded with a contactless chip, carrying the owner's facial and fingerprint biometric identifiers.
