Oracle blogs for experts

Don Burleson

There are now thousands of Oracle blogs, and many crum-bum's are using automated bots to create nonsense Oracle blogs.  The problem is finding an Oracle blog from someone that you know and trust.  If you want to read expert Oracle blog information, make sure that the Oracle bloggers you choose have expert Oracle credentials.  There is a lot of garbage on the web, and you might avoid Oracle blogs that are anonymous, of an Oracle blog by someone who won't share their credentials.

Here are some respected Oracle blogs:

  • BC Oracle blogs - The BC Oracle blog is a blog feed of our continuing research into Oracle technology, including Oracle blogger tips by Oracle experts Steve Karam, Mike Ault, Don Burleson and many more.

  • Oracle News - This is a daily Oracle News RSS feed with the latest Oracle headline news.

  • Jon Emmons - The "Life After Coffee" blog is one of the most popular Oracle blogs with excellent technical content.

  • Steve Karam - The Oracle alchemist blog has great Oracle tips and techniques from the world's youngest Oracle ACE and Oracle Certified Master.  Karam is also the author of "Easy Oracle Jumpstart", "Oracle Replication" and "Oracle and AJAX".

  • Dr. Tim Hall - The Oracle-base blog.  Hall is a respected Oracle author of "Oracle Job Scheduling", "Oracle PL/SQL Tuning", and Oracle ACE of 2006 has a great blog.

  • Mark Rittman Oracle blog - The Rittman Oracle blog is the oldest and most respected of all Oracle blogs.

  • David Aldridge - The Oracle Sponge blog is a great resource for Oracle VLDB and data warehousing.

There are new Oracle blogs coming-and-going daily, so you may want to build your own list of Oracle blog experts.
