The Oracle 11i eBusiness Suite (also called Oracle Financials) is the premier accounting and financial ERP, one of the most flexible and robust packages ever created.  The main areas of Oracle financials 11i includes General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed assets (FA) and Financial Intelligence (FI), Inventory Management, and Daily Business Intelligence (DBI).

This intensive 5-day Oracle Financials training jumpstart in the eBusiness Suite components provides an overview of each of the functional areas within Oracle Financials. BC also offers specific training courses for Each eBusiness module:

This eBusiness Suite (Oracle Financials) training class is designed for the working financial Oracle professional and previous experience with financial and cost accounting and finance concepts is helpful.

Previous experience with relational database management and SQL is also helpful, but this class is self-contained and has no formal prerequisites other than an understanding of the business concepts.

  • Interfaces between eBusiness suite functional modules

Day 2:
Introduction to Oracle Accounts Receivable (AR) and
Accounts Payable (AP)

Basics of eBusiness Suite account management:

  • Functional areas of accounts payable in Oracle Financials

  • Overview of the AP and AR screens

  • Using notifications in AR and AP

  • Customizing AR and AP

  • Reporting from AR and AP

Day 3:
Managing Oracle General Ledger

Oracle GL concepts:

  • Oracle journal entries and general ledger as the book of original entry

  • Posting from GL to other module components

  • Interface between general ledger and AP, AR and FA

  • Creating reports from GL data

  • Customizing GL for your operations

Day 4:
Oracle Financial Intelligence (FI) and Fixed Assets (FA)

Basics of Oracle Financial Intelligence

  • Overview of the functional areas of FI

  • Review of the FI interface screens

Basics of Oracle Fixed Assets (FA)

  • Overview of the functional areas of FA

  • Review of the FA interface screens

Reporting from Oracle eBusiness suite

Oracle Reports Interface:

  • Overview of Oracle reports

  • Using and customizing pre-written reports

  • Overview of Oracle SQL and SQL*Plus for eBusiness suite reports

  • Understanding the Oracle Financials table structures

Oracle Daily Business Intelligence (DBI) overview:

  • Using the DBI screens

  • Creating a DBI report
