BC Oracle Cruise Tournaments
BC management is offering-up One Thousand dollars ($1,000) in cash
prizes during the BC cruise!
BC $1,000 Tournament
The BC cruise will include many fun activities,
designed especially for Oracle DBA consultants. BC will offer the
following on-ship activities with $1,000 in cash prizes:
-
Trivial Pursuit Tournament (Ship Game room)
- Each team can win up to $300 in a fast-paced team-play of
Trivial Pursuit.
-
Google Scavenger Hunt (Ship Internet
Café) – Test your Google skills and win cash! Teams will use
Google and Metalink to research and solve tough Oracle problems.
-
Spades Tournament (Ship Game room) – Teams will
compete in Spades to win up to $300 cash.
We appreciate everyone's suggestions, but we
had to reject the following tournament ideas:
-
Drinking Tournament - One shot at a
time, last person standing wins.
-
Hurling tournament - We visit a
native Jamaican restaurant. Last person to keep-it-down
wins.
-
Boorish Tourist Tournament - Each
contestant is given an in-port challenge. For example, a
contestant might approach a street corner vendor and ask 10
annoying questions about the content of their food (does it
contain MSG? Where was the fruit grown?)
Other Oracle cruise
activities
Carnival has a wide range of shipboard and
in-port activities, some of them being quite profitable. BC
recommends the following cruise activities.
-
Black Jack Tournament - Don Burleson
won the $500 prize last year, beating-out over 50 contestants.
-
Bingo - On the Oracle Cruise
(Mexican Riviera) Janet Burleson won more than $4,500.
